About Sheepskin

Few materials are as comforting as sheepskin. From a baby's rug to a well-worn pair of slippers, it's a fibre that delivers warmth and reassurance in equal measure. Naturally breathable and antimicrobial, it's no secret why sheepskin has been a staple in New Zealand homes for generations.

Insulating

Breathable

Antimicrobial

Moisture wicking

Sheepskin is naturally insulating, breathable and designed for long-lasting comfort. Many styles also feature suede or leather finishes, which require different care approaches.

Spot cleaning is often preferred, but care requirements vary between products. Always refer to the care label attached to your item before cleaning.

Cut closer to the foot for a firm, secure fit. Best suited to narrow or average width feet, and to anyone who likes footwear that holds the foot rather than sits loose around it.

Sheepskin stretches slightly and the pile compacts with wear, so this style should feel snug to begin with. If you are between sizes, or prefer a little more room, we recommend ordering a size up.

Always check the size guide on the individual product page before selecting your size

Our shoppers often pair the Sheepskin Moodles Blanket Scuffs with these items.

Warm and reassuring

Sheepskin is naturally insulating, breathable and moisture wicking, helping maintain comfort across a range of temperatures.

The wool fibres help regulate warmth while naturally resisting odour, making sheepskin ideal for slippers and cold-weather accessories.

Regular airing can help keep sheepskin products fresh between wears.

Care Instructions

Please refer to the care label attached to your product before cleaning, as care requirements vary between styles and materials.

Many sheepskin products benefit from regular airing and spot cleaning rather than frequent washing. If your product contains suede, leather or other natural finishes, these materials may be damaged by water, machine washing or immersion cleaning.

Allow wet footwear to dry naturally away from direct heat and sunlight. For deeper cleaning, follow the product-specific care instructions provided by the manufacturer.

Slipper Sizes

Measure your bare foot, then choose the size your measurement fits within.

M	6-7	7-8	5-6	38-39	25cm / 9.8 in
L	8-9	9-10	7-8	40-41	26cm / 10 in
XL	10-11	11-12	9-10	42-43	27-28cm / 10.6-10.8 in

How to measure your foot

These slippers have a very plush pile and are a firmer, smaller fit with a downward sloping toe, best suited to a narrow to average foot. Go by your foot length measurement, and if in doubt order a size up. The pile will compact with wear, so they should fit reasonably snug to start with.

Measure your bare foot — socks or tights will give you the wrong length.
Place your heel against a wall and measure from the wall to the furthest tip of your longest toe (usually the big toe).
Standing on paper, marking your foot and measuring the paper is the most accurate method.
Measure both feet and use the longer one.
Still unsure? Send us your measurement and we'll advise on sizing.

Sheepskin Moodles Blanket Scuffs

For every stage of life

Some comforts never go out of style. From babies discovering the world on a soft sheepskin mat to adults slipping into their favourite pair of slippers, sheepskin has been bringing warmth and comfort to everyday life for generations.

Made from dense wool fibres attached to the hide, sheepskin is naturally soft, breathable and insulating. The wool fibres create a cushioned surface while allowing air to circulate, helping to maintain comfort in a range of temperatures. Whether used for rest, play or relaxation, sheepskin offers a timeless combination of warmth and comfort.

The best place to start is the Size Chart on the product page, as sizing can vary between styles.

For the most accurate fit, measure your foot from heel to longest toe and compare this measurement with the size chart provided.

If you're between sizes, we generally recommend choosing the smaller size. Sheepskin naturally moulds to your feet over time, and the wool pile will settle with wear, creating a comfortable fit.

If you're still unsure, get in touch with our team. We're always happy to help with sizing advice.

Many are, and the product page tells you which. Anything made here carries an 'NZ Made' tag — that includes our Merino from Weft and Essence Lingerie, our sheepskin slippers and boots from EB Tolley and Furmoo, and skincare from Nude Kiwi.

Some of our range is made offshore, and we're upfront about that. Silk and bamboo, for example, aren't fibres produced in New Zealand, so those garments are made overseas to our specification. We're a New Zealand company and we make here wherever we sensibly can.

If you want to know the origin of a specific item, look for the NZ Made tag on the product page, or ask us and we'll tell you.

Yes. Every product page includes a size guide with detailed measurements for that specific garment, along with a how-to-measure section so you can compare against a piece you already own. Sizing can vary slightly between styles, so we recommend checking the guide for the item you're looking at rather than assuming your usual size. If you're between sizes or unsure about fit, email sales@nznature.co.nz and our team will help you find the right one.

Yes. You can return an item for exchange within six months of the order date, provided it's unworn, unwashed and in its original condition with tags attached. Fill in the returns form enclosed with your order and send it back to us. Return postage is at your own cost, but we don't charge you postage to send the exchange item out. If the replacement is the same price, it's a straightforward swap. If the values differ, we refund your original payment method and recharge for the new item. If you're not sure which size to go for, email sales@nznature.co.nz with your order number and we'll help you work it out first.
